Judging Process

The judging process is overseen by the Chair of Judges and includes six individual judging panels. Each panel consists of one Panel Chair, two Senior Judges and two Associate Judges who sample up to 130 wines per day.

Medals are determined by the Judges using the following point scale:

  • Gold medal for Exhibits gaining 95 points and over;
  • Silver medal for Exhibits gaining 90 but less than 95 points;
  • Bronze medal for Exhibits gaining 85 but less than 90 points.
