Wine Of Provenance

Provenance, from the French “provenir” meaning “to come from”, refers to the chronology of the ownership or location of a historical object.  This award is designed to recognise and celebrate wines of exceptional provenance reflecting consistency of style and quality over time.

  • Exhibits entered into the Wine of Provenance classes may also be entered in an Open class.
  • All Wine of Provenance exhibits MUST be entered on the List of Exhibits individually and additionally to any other class that they are entered into.
  • All Wine of Provenance exhibits, that are entered into other classes, MUST have the same Distinguishing Letters in both classes.
